Component Project Leader within Interior Trim
Interior Trim within Interior department consists of approximately 100 engineers organized into six groups developing components within the following areas: Interior Light and Functional parts, Trunk trim, Door trim, Pillar trim, Headliner system, Floor carpets and Sound absorbents.
We are now looking for experienced project leaders to strengthen our organization.
As project leader within Interior Trim, you are responsible for all deliverables connected to implementing the concerned system solutions into our new car models and also quality tasks and model year changes. We develop system solutions by in house design engineering and also together with suppliers.
Interior is a highly focused area both from styling and customer point of view, which makes it an interesting and dynamic department to be a part of.
Main responsibilities
* Lead a cross functional team in engineering projects and ensure delivery with regards to time, technology, quality and cost requirements
* Perform design reviews
* Ensure that verification activities are planned and performed according to the overall time plan
* Ensure production launch
* Manage supplier contacts with regards to planning and monitoring
* Ensure commonality between projects
* Work in close cooperation with the suppliers
* Ensure that a correct part structure is created and that the technical documentation is reviewed and released
Required qualifications
* University degree in engineering
* Experience from project management
* Excellent English skills, verbal and written
* Driver's license
Meritorious experience
* Experience/understanding of design work in Catia and other systems that manage drawings and 3-D models
* Experience from automotive
Personal qualities
* Strong project management skills, ability to drive tasks towards goals and deliver on time
* Organised, structured and able to handle many tasks simultaneously and to take decisions
* Eager to work in a group and to cooperate with other people
* Self-starter and highly motivated to take up challenging tasks
* Customer oriented
