Compliance in Sandvik Machining Solutions' divisions are today supported by our Regional Compliance Officers. To fully integrate Sandvik's compliance requirements in the areas of anti-corruption, competition law, data privacy, customs and export control (the "Compliance Areas") into Sandvik Coromant's core business processes and way of working, a need has been identified for a Compliance Officer who is dedicated to Sandvik Coromant. In order to safeguard independence and provide a functional context including Sandvik's broader compliance network, this new role will organizationally be a part of Sandvik Machining Solutions global compliance department, while physically be placed at Coromant's headquarters in Sandviken, Sweden.
The role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer of Sandvik Machining Solutions and has a dotted line reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of division Sandvik Coromant.
Your responsibility
In this cross-organizational position, your long-term goal is to maintain a proactive and agile compliance system which is both effective and efficient. This includes to:
Secure that Sandvik Coromant complies with requirements by Sandvik Machining Solutions and Sandvik Group in the Compliance Areas
Lead, advice and oversee the compliance activities and procedures within Sandvik Coromant
Develop and implement Sandvik Coromant specific steering documents and guidelines within the Compliance Areas
Implement and maintain Sandvik's compliance related internal controls
Develop and oversee other control systems to prevent, detect and remedy non-compliance with policies and procedures
Evaluate the efficiency of controls and proactively drive improvements
Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conforming issues
Secure implementation of changes and new requirements in the Compliance Areas
Secure that policies and procedures are implemented throughout the organization through close collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Be responsible for risk assessment and monitoring of compliance risks and mitigation activities within the Enterprise Risk Management process
Prepare reports for senior management's follow up and review
Your profile
You have extensive experience from roles in compliance, internal controls, internal audit, legal or similar, combined with an interest and overall knowledge of the diverse range of IT systems and processes applicable for this area. With an energetic, persistent and process-oriented approach, you have a broad-minded view and enjoy turning complex matters into simple, business-friendly, solutions. Any previous experience from major international companies or organizations are advantageous, and we assume that you have a relevant degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. We are truly global, and you must have excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
