Are you someone who likes to explore new ways of working and who has a customer-focused mindset? Someone who leaves no stone unturned in search for the best solution possible to the challenge? If so, this role is for you! We are searching for a Competence Lead (Tech Manager)/SAP EWM Software Engineer to our Fulfilment Centre Operations Product Area in Business Tech, to innovate and develop products that make a meaningful impact on customers all over the world!
Fulfilment Centre Operations is managing H&M's own operated warehouses on SAP EWM platform. Our vision for the product area is to constantly evolve and deliver an efficient platform for our business and our external partners. To enable our partners to operate their warehouse logistics to meet customer promise in a cost-efficient and sustainable way.

Responsibilities

The Competence Lead (Tech Manager)/Software Engineer role has a dual focus - staff responsibility and delivery. As a Software Engineer with Competence Lead, you will have staff responsibility for employees within the same/adjacent competence as your own, working in different product teams within the same product area. Your mission will be to support, coach and help your team members grow and develop.
You are expected to take part in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from idea and analysis to working solutions deployed in our warehouses. The work will be focused on the product backlog, created based on agreed product mission, as well as defined objectives and key results by using agile methodologies.
In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders in other product teams/areas and enabling functions, as well as with logistics operations. You will be able to try out your creative and innovative ideas - and have a large impact on how we shape the future of fashion retail logistics. Furthermore, as a Software Engineer your tasks will include:
• Translate product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable and scalable solutions
• Collaborate closely with product owners and other cross-functional teams, share best practices as well as discuss and motivate design solutions
• Work with professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle
We are on a journey together which means there is no clear path. You will play an important role in building our product and being part of creating and leading our new organization. We want to become much more data driven and explorative in new technologies. We want to move into DevOps organization where our products have a strong focus on operational stability.
Who are you?
We believe you have at least 9+ years hands-on work experience within SAP and preferably 6+ years in EWM. Furthermore, we believe you are dynamic, collaborative and curious. You are flexible, stress-resistant and able to work in an environment that is not yet formalized. In addition, you have:
• A degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Leadership experience, ability to coach others in a way that enables them to grow professionally and to increase their performance
• Experience working with agile practices
• Fluent in English
What we offer!
Besides the obvious perks such as staff discount card, flexible work life, learning communities, wellness benefits, parental benefits etc. you are joining a unique value driven culture, a large tech network and community where you can be yourself. There are endless opportunities to experiment and grow in any direction that you want and when you grow, we grow. Being a major player gives us countless opportunities to make a real impact and shape the future.
Who are we?
H&M Group is a family of brands with the desire to make great design available to everyone in a sustainable and circular way.
