hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Raoul Wallenberg Institutet i Lund The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law is currently seeking candidates immediately for a fixed term (12 months) position, with possible extension, as Communications Officer, based in Lund, Sweden.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Communications Officer has the overall operative responsibility for external and internal communication at the Institute and shall in consultation with the Director and the management team contribute to develop an even flow of internal and external communication with a view to strengthening the Institute's name and brand in Sweden and abroad.
Tasks:
• Co-ordinating the development of annual communication plans;
• supervising and contributing to the implementation and follow up of annual communication plans;
• administer and develop the Institute?s website and Intranet, including through reviewing and updating content and style guidelines, providing editorial support and analysing usage, in liaison with the Communications Associate and internal users;
• overseeing the production of newsletters, articles, feature stories, video material, and other information and communication materials for a variety of media, including digital signage, web and print, to further develop content and identify best practices and success stories for greater internal and/or external exposure;
• developing public relations strategies, drafting press releases to circulate to media contacts and maintaining the Institute?s press information/media material/kit, as well as measuring, analysing and following up statistics regarding the media coverage of the Institute;
• co-ordinating the marketing and documentation in relation to Institute events and interviews;
• supporting the director and management team in fundraising initiatives and contributing to identifying potential new individual and institutional donors;
• developing the use of social media and other innovative communications channels to provide better exposure of the Institute?s activities;
• co-ordinating general staff meetings in terms of internal communications needs;
• staying informed of relevant developments concerning technical issues and security related to the Institute?s website and Intranet; and
• generally providing advice and support on communications issues, including crisis communications, to Management and Departments.
Qualifications:
• At least a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
• professional experience with proven accomplishments for at least 3 years;
• excellent written and oral (native or near-native) Swedish and English languages and communication skills;
• hands-on expertise in image editing, publication production, social media and website maintenance;
• solid experience with all software necessary for modern communications;
• professional experience in a diverse international environment;
• interest in human rights and international development cooperation;
• understanding of the structure and operations of the UN, Sida, and the EU;
• ability to work independently, take initiatives and prioritise work tasks;
• proven skills to work in teams and generate innovative, practical solutions to challenging situations;
• cultural sensitivity and judgment; and
• sound knowledge of means and methods of Swedish and/or other international development cooperation.
