Climate Positive is a strategic initiative to significantly reduce the IKEA climate footprint in absolute terms throughout the IKEA value-chain and beyond, while growing the IKEA business. The scope covers everything from raw material extraction to products' end-of-life. This will enable IKEA to continue to create a better everyday life for the many people and do so within the limits of our planet.
With strategic goals and movements set, we are now in the process to integrate these throughout our business - building capability and competence. The main focus is to translate set goals together with key parts of the IKEA organisation into more specific movements, activities and competence required to reach the strategic goals - making the climate agenda truly integrated in the ways of working. In parallel, we will continue to develop the climate agenda and continue to lead by example and collaborate externally towards a low-carbon society.
Right now, we are looking for our next Climate Analyst to join us.
As an Analyst, you will be part of the core team in the strategic initiative. You work with leaders for the different climate footprints as well as business representatives across the whole of IKEA, being responsible of analytics & scenario analyses together with a second analyst. Key will be to take data and complex setups and make it easy to understand, especially from a visual perspective, for business owners to identify, prioritise and take decisions. You will also analyse current and required progress versus set goals from a total IKEA perspective.
You will be reporting to the Sustainability Supply Chain Manager and in matrix to the Project Manager: Climate Positive.
Your main responsibilities, across the full scope of Climate Positive, will be:
• Contribute with analytics to business plans, projects and activities throughout IKEA to reduce our climate footprint in line with set goals & ambitions
• Follow-up and analyse the IKEA climate footprint at different levels, conduct gap analysis and provide business insights, recommendations and basis for decisions
• Support the leaders of the climate footprint categories with analytics where needed
• Support by developing tools within the area of analytics & scenario analyses
• Provide input and requirements for data collection, management and modelling
• Capture synergies across IKEA and share knowledge and good practices throughout the organisation
