About the job:
This is a full-time consulting assignment that lasts for 6 months. You will be employed by Bravura and work as a consultant at the EasyMining. There are good opportunities for extending the assignment.
About the company:
EasyMining is part of the Ragn-Sells Group. EasyMining is in the process of commercializing technologies based on its patented innovations and processes that recover clean commercial products using waste as raw material. Their technologies include phosphorus recovery from ashes of combusted sludge, a process that can reduce the energy requirement for treating nitrogen-containing wastewater by recovering the nitrogen in form of commercial products, as well as a process for extraction of salts from fly ash from household waste incineration.
In Uppsala, around 17 people are working, and both development and research are conducted here. At EasyMining you will work with a younger team of motivated co-workers. Here you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and abilities and be part of creating a more sustainable future. EasyMining are now looking for a new team member to help them operate pilots for their current and future technologies.
Tasks and responsibilities:
In this role you will take part in a laboratory pilot-project. The project is in the research and development team in Uppsala and includes the operation of pilot tests and supporting the work in the commercialization of the processes. You will work alongside with R&D engineers where you together operate and keep track of the equipment.
For this project they are developing technology to recover nutrients from waste streams (i.e. incinerated sewage sludge). For this work they have constructed a set-up to test the process, and this is where you come in and help running it. This role can suit both more experienced as well as more recently graduated candidates.
Some examples of work tasks are:
• Execute pilot work with a safety-first perspective
• Run and test systems
• Cleaning of equipment
• Handling of chemicals in a safe manner
• Provide documentation of work
Education, Experience and Personal characteristics:
• A degree from the field of chemistry or biology
• Ability to communicate in English
• Beneficial if you have lab work experience and experiences of chemical processes (fertilizer, mining, pulp and paper for example) or from Industrial solid-liquid separation processes
We believe that you have a degree from the field of chemistry or biology. You also have some form of practical experience of laboratory work, could be from your education or early work experience.
To thrive in this role, you can work independently and in an organized way. You have excellent technical skills and are an analytical thinker with interpersonal skills. Additionally, you can document work in an organized manner. You can also handle confidential information. The company language is English, and you will both have international colleagues and Swedish speaking people.
