Work description
The Certification Engineer department ensures that the projects have the correct legal prerequisites. The client works with engine certification for both marine and industrial engines world-wide to develop and make new methods to be able to fulfil the legislations. They also follow the legislation regarding measuring methods for both rig and in-use testing and supervise and evaluate the necessary tests needed to fulfil emission legislation.
As a certification engineer you will:
• Be the clients representative in product development projects and ensure that the projects have the correct legal prerequisites.
• Supervise and evaluate the necessary tests needed to fulfil emission legislation.
• Co-ordinate the certification activities with involved staff such as test engineers, workshop, design engineers and authorities.
• Be responsible for completing the application documents, seeing that they are being sent to authorities and then making sure that engine certificates are received on time.
• Up-dating certification documentation for authorities on a continuous basis.
Additional Requirements
Personal skills needed:
• Qualifications in academic Technical education, Master Science or equivalent.
• Experience of emission testing in rig and in-use testing, preferably on diesel engines.
• Experience of technical documentation.
• Experience of interpreting emission legislation.
• You should be able to communicate in both English and Swedish.
