The Direct Procurement organization provide best in class procurement services to stakeholders within the company with different sourcing activities, supplier- market- and spend analysis, contract management as well as governance towards our current and potential suppliers. Right now, we have an exciting job opening for you in the Displays & Comfort Systems Category Team.
What will you do?
In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day procurement activities across the Comfort category. The primary focus is to lead and deliver on planned activities but also to tackle ad-hoc and unplanned activities to ensure maximum possible value for Volvo Cars. You will also be expected to help, guide and support your category team colleagues when needed. You will support and implement supplier strategies, including leading cost activities, and creating and maintaining commercial relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. You will work proactively with key stakeholders to understand your product / function, its market, delivery base and potential innovation, to find ways to increase the value of Volvo Cars, including cost, quality and sustainability.
Do you fit the profile?
You have a degree within Business, Engineering or equivalent combined with a few years of experience from commercial and/or engineering work including commercial negotiations and legal knowledge. You have strong business acumen combined with high integrity and can prioritize your own work and always deliver on time. You are a natural negotiator and skilled at stakeholder management since supplier relations are a key aspect of the job. Comfort Systems is considered a global commodity, so excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English is a requirement and additional languages are advantageous. You need to be courageous and dare to question the status quo and work proactively and collaboratively to build better understanding and work for common solutions.
