Who we are?
We have the mission to ensure that the development of the next generation engines reflects our brand essence of sustainability and that all legal and customer features regarding OBD and Powertrain dependability are met. We oversee the complete development work from concept design and requirements as well as calibration and verification in the last development phase. All activities aiming to deliver world class OBD and robustness. The department currently holds more than hundred people, working mainly with monitoring applications for embedded propulsion systems.
What do we offer?
The Aftertreatment and Combustion OBD group has the focus on delivering OBD SW functions and tailor made application with respect to legal requirements and different powertrain features. We work in self-managed agile teams, hence you will work close together with colleagues in an agile Kanban or Scrum team.
As a Calibration engineer you will act as an optimization engineer being responsible for calibration and verification of diagnostic functions, as well as for robustness and risk assessments based on measurement data and data analysis.
You will create and run simulations to improve embedded software and optimize calibration parameters. You will develop methods for and perform worst case testing, e.g. hot and cold climate, high altitude, humidity, etc. on different expeditions.
The job suits engineers that enjoy combining control and monitoring theory and measurement data analysis with performing hands-on testing in premium cars. You will have the opportunity to travel on 2-week expeditions for hot and cold climate testing, 2-4 times a year.
You and your skills
You have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Chemistry or any Automotive direction, or equivalent with relevant working experience. Due to close collaboration with other stakeholders within the company you are required to be fluent in English, however Swedish language is beneficial. Driving license "B", valid in Sweden is a predisposition to take on this role.
You have a genuine interest in cars, especially in propulsion and high performing engines with clean emissions. Further, you are excited to take on hands-on testing, as well as working with analyzing the outcome data.
If you have any experience from automotive engineering especially embedded systems or engine application engineering, aftermarket or workshops, this would be beneficial. It is also a merit if you have an understanding of an agile environment and SAFe way of working.

You are a self-motivated individual and interested to learn and share your knowledge with the rest of the team and other colleagues. You like to collaborate, have a positive attitude towards solving the issues and you want things to be done effective as possible. You are communication transparently and never lose the customer out of your focus. Being well organized and having a structured approach is key to succeed in this role, due to dealing with a lot of data analysis and presenting results in an understandable way to your stakeholders. You are able to be focused and detailed and at the same time very pragmatic and practical due to different responsibilities of your role.
