China-Euro Vehicle Technology, CEVT, is a joint engineering and development centre for future C-segment cars, addressing the needs of both Volvo Cars and Geely Auto. CEVT covers vital aspects of passenger car development ? from the joint architecture, to power train and drive line components, to top hat engineering as well as the vehicles? exterior design. The modular strategy will deliver on the premium aspects that Volvo Cars requires, as well as on Geely Auto?s demands, in order to compete in the automotive market. Our vision is to strengthen competitiveness of Geely Auto and Volvo Cars through development of world-class vehicle architectures, platforms, new technologies and total vehicles. If we are to succeed we need to attract the right people. CEVT currently consists of some 1400 people and is growing fast. The company is located at Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg and in Hangzhou, China.

CEVT is using CAE as an integrated part of product development and verification. Typical work tasks for a CAE engineer is to develop CAE models, conduct simulations, analyse the results and give proposals to improve the design. The work is done in close cooperation with design engineers and performance attribute engineers. Working as a CAE engineer means utilizing state-of-the art simulation technology and technical understanding together with engineering creativity to solve complicated issues, as well as further advancing the simulation capabilities and enhancing the team effectivity and output. CEVT has a centralized CAE-team with subgroups for Safety, NVH, Energy, Body/Exterior, Interior, Chassis/Powertrain and Tools/Methods. The CAE team is located in both Gothenburg and Hangzhou and the employees of both locations are working closely together.

Requirements
M.Sc. degree in Engineering
Experience from or interest in performing and driving advanced simulations and analysis
Ability and interest to work in cross functional teams
Ability and interest to work in international teams
Good presentation skills
Fluency in written and spoken English
Basic knowledge in Swedish
Knowledge in Chinese (Mandarin) is a merit
