About the job as CAD designer
As a CAD designer at Sandvik Coromant you will have the opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic company with the very latest technology in mechanical engineering. Sandvik Coromant are now looking for you who want to be a part of a team with CAD designers. As a CAD designer, you will be part of a project team that are developing market leading metal cutting products, tools and inserts, that meets the customer's high quality requirements and performance standards. As a designer you are responsible for the design, producing CAD models, drawings and design rules for automation in the manufacturing process. You will also collaborate with production to secure success in producing the products. Furthermore, you will collaborate with your colleagues to establish timelines and budgets, as well as solve problems.
Other tasks that are included in the role are
* Upgrading existing product families
* Development of way of working within the team and the design method
* Speaking partner towards production in design questions
This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will be employed by us at Jefferson Wells but work on a consulting assignment at Sandvik Coromant.
About you
We are looking for you who has CAD experience and have a mechanical engineer background or similar experience. This position is suitable for you who find it exciting to work in the manufacturing industry and have previous experience of working as a CAD designer or in a similar role. Furthermore, it would be excellent if you have knowledge within metal cutting and it is also seen as a merit if you have knowledge within automation of the manufacturing process and manufacturing methods for inserts and tools. As a person, you are a team player who is social and communicative. You are determined, analytical and can take your own initiatives. Otherwise, we are looking for you who;
* have a master in Mechanical Engineering or similar, or equivalent worklife experience.
* have a few years' experience of working with CAD, preferably in Unigraphics NX.
* are fluent in English, both verbal and written. Swedish would be an advantage but not a must
* Good knowledge in Office 365.
* It is advantage but not a requirement if you have experience within programming Java / Visual basic and following softwares/system; YAPP (Sandvik Coromant internal software), CAPP (Sandvik Coromant internal software), Ansys, Antura and Miro.
