Role Summary
As a Design Engineer within electrical design, you will work close to the product throughout the development process.
You will be part of a professional engineering environment where quality, structure and collaboration are key, and where your work directly contributes to the complete vehicle.
Job Responsibilities
Depending on your background and experience, your responsibilities may include:
Electrical routing and cable harness installation in CATIA, as well as mechanical design of brackets and component installations related to electrical systems
Development of electrical schematics and cable harness definitions using tools such as SABER (or equivalent)
Collaboration with electrical architects, installation engineers and other cross-functional stakeholders
Contributing to robust, cost-efficient and production-ready solutions for Scania bus chassis
Who You Are
You are a structured and quality-oriented engineer with a strong interest in electrical design for vehicles. You enjoy working close to the product, take responsibility for your deliveries, and understand how your work fits into the bigger system.
You communicate clearly in English, collaborate naturally with others, and are motivated by continuous development - both of yourself and of the product.
We believe you have:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field
Experience, or a clear professional focus, within electrical routing, cable harness installation, component installation and/or electrical schematics and harness design
Experience working with CATIA for electrical routing and/or mechanical design
Experience with electrical schematic and harness design tools, such as SABER, Capital or equivalent
Experience from Scania or a similar automotive or heavy-vehicle development environment is considered a strong advantage
The primary target group is engineers with some years of relevant experience who can work independently within their area while contributing actively to the team.
At the same time, driven early-career engineers or recent graduates with the right educational background, strong technical understanding and a clear ambition to develop within electrical design may also be considered.
