hela Sverige In the role as Buyer at Volvo Construction Equipment you are responsible for the operational part of purchasing connected to a commodity consisting of machined castings and pipes. You will be responsible for the day-to-day business with your suppliers and having a purchasing responsibility to 7 production sites in Europe. Main part of the work covering the production of articulated hauler and wheel loader in Braås and Arvika. But your responsibility also covering the component sites in Hallsberg and Eskilstuna, and Volvo Powertrains production sites in Sweden and in France. You will represent purchasing in many different new development projects, but also being responsible for the sourcing of new components to our running production. You will work with a broad network with colleagues from purchasing, production, RnD and our suppliers.
Core Responsibilities
Sourcing of new parts to our projects and production
Contribute to develop our business relation with our suppliers
Drive, or support in negotiations, delivery- or cost related matters
On a regular basis meet our suppliers, with the aim to maintain a good working relation
Drive, or support in new development projects where early supplier integration is a must
Contribute in the development of our 4-box strategy
Responsible for the day-to-day business with our suppliers and clear out administrative tasks connected to invoicing, revision changes on drawings etc.
Support in reaching purchasing KPI's
Required Competencies
Minimum five year experience working with purchasing
Proven negotiation skills
Experience working within Industry and basic knowledge in working in CAD-environment and reading of technical drawings
Experience from working in new development projects
Very strong drive and willingness to lead and take own initiatives
Energetic and target driven
Strong communication skills and open minded team player
Working experience in SAP
Fluent in English and Swedish
Education
Minimum Bachelor degree in engineering or economics
