Expressed in terms of IKEA's three main processes, IoS leads the processes Creating the Home Furnishing Offer and Supplying. IoS also takes part in the third main process, Communicating & Selling, which is lead by Retail.
The role of the Supplying process is making the IKEA range available for the customers by buying, producing and distributing it to the lowest total cost, high customer experienced quality and under good social as well as environmental conditions.
Business Intelligence Specialist to IKEA of Sweden in Älmhult
We offer a challenging role where you will get the possibility to participate in driving IKEA Supply Chain's future within Information Technology.
IKEA is setting up new ways of working with Information Technology and therefore Supply Chain at IKEA is establishing IT Demand Supplying. The Solution Area is where business is aligned with the IT system landscape. Today the Supplying system landscape is grouped into 5 different areas. We are now looking for a Business Intelligence Specialist to Solution Area - Performance & Follow Up.
The role
As a Business Intelligence Specialist you will lead and secure optimal utilisation of existing solutions and support development of IT related business.
You are the person to whom the business turns when they have issues regarding Business Intelligence Systems. You play an important role in communicating and challenging end users and stakeholders - understanding their needs and requirements and then interpreting and prioritizing them in to an IT context.
Your main duties include:
• Leading the development of the Business Intelligence systems in relation to the business requirements and together with IKEA IT Delivery / vendor.
• Being reference person within the Business Intelligence area in different forums and projects
• Maintaining a super user network, being responsible for users having the proper training.
You do the above in order to achieve:
• Delivery of IT related improvements with right Quality
• A simplified, user friendly, solid and robust IT Landscape
• Leadership and control of running IT Systems
• Lower total cost of IT for Supplying
• User Satisfaction
Is this the right challenge for you?
To be able to succeed in the role you need to have a solid experience from the Business Intelligence area and from turning user requirements in to sustainable and value added solutions. You are used to challenge different stakeholders and to act in the border between business and high level technique.
You are enthusiastic, driven, structured and determined. You have strong communication skills and the ability to build trustful relationships.
You have an IT background with the desire to move closer to the Business without letting go of technical questions.
