This includes a responsibility for selected components and raw material, which means develop, purchase and supply to IKEA suppliers. IKEA Components also have the assignment to provide After Sales service of components to the end customers. Right now, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join us on our exciting journey!
Your responsibility as Business Development Manager will be to lead the three business-teams located in Älmhult. You will support them to build a professional supplier-base with relations built on trust & partnership.
A very important part of your assignment will be to coach, inspire and empower the co-workers in your team to perform to the best of their abilities and continuously develop in their assignments.
As part of the Category Management team and reporting to Category Manager Assembly & Accessories, you will actively contribute to the development of the Category business plan.

As Business Development Manager your main assignments will be:
• Overall responsible for the business and suppliers' performance
• Responsible for recruitment, development, performance management, retention and
succession plans for co-workers directly in your team
• Set the business direction with clear Action Plan(s) to improve and develop business and supplier performance
• Accountable for professional and long-term relationship with suppliers through IKEA
way of doing business, based on a shared business model, trust and transparency
• Identify and start-up new suppliers according to business needs
