At Volumental, we're passionate about creating a great shopping experience and helping people find the best products for them (both fit and style) - starting with shoes. To do that we 3D scan people's feet and use AI to find or create shoes that fit you perfectly. This data also helps our customers, mainly world leading brands, to develop better products. Volumental's 3D technology is currently live in 800 stores in 35 countries.
We're in a strong growth phase. In two short years, since we rolled out our first scanner in 2016, we now help thousands of people every day find shoes that fit. Our solution is a crucial part of making footwear retail more efficient, personalized and sustainable. We do this by utilizing our beautifully designed high tech software and hardware, at present unparalleled in the global retail industry.
Volumental is a young and supportive company with a friendly and talented team of 30 people, currently comprising 14 nationalities speaking over 20 languages. We have a collaborative atmosphere and believe in developing our employees and growing our business while having fun at work.
What will you do?
Sell the future of footwear to industry insiders. More than selling an existing solution you are a trusted adviser to footwear brands and retailers who want to succeed in a changing world and be at the forefront of technology. You will interact with retail executives, R&D specialists and marketers and have the analytical mindset to adapt your messaging to their needs.
Run deal processes with a closer mindset. Take qualified leads to the finish line by navigating multiple stakeholders from initial pitch through KPI-defined pilots and large-scale global roll-outs. You are the project manager who can identify people's pains before they know them and show them how we will help grow their business.
Travel around the world with the Volumental solution. This role will require global travel to meet with executives from brands and retailers in the USA and Europe.
Fail, learn, repeat. Our deals usually involve many departments within a company, from retail operations and e-commerce to marketing and R&D. To succeed you need to be the type of person who analyzes your experiences and implements learnings fast.
All the other things! One week you may be jetting around the world meeting with senior executives, and the next you will be prospecting, ensuring the CRM is updated or helping colleagues install our app on tablets for a customer. We're growing, but we are still a startup and you need to thrive in an intense and very collaborative environment.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
We are excited about you because:
You are a collaborative team member with low prestige, willing to jump in where needed.
You are a driven, analytical and organized business developer who is able to work strategically and execute on ambitious growth targets.
You have experience in B2B sales and business development and are ready to take on $500K+ deal sizes for a globally scalable product.
You are tech-savvy - you do not need to have a PhD in Robotics or AI (we have five of those already) but you will be learning to sell a highly technical product.
You are willing to travel. We work with customers around the world and this role will require regular travel to attend customer meetings, fairs and conferences.
You are comfortable working in English (other languages a plus) - our customers are in 35 countries and our team of 30 consists of 14 nationalities. It's part of what makes Volumental a great place to work!
