Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

The objective for the Finance and Business Control function, KC, is to support and enable profitable and cost-efficient business activities that deliver customer value within Sales and Marketing (S&M). The department is responsible for navigate through performance analysis and follow-up S&M's global activities/business areas in order to support operations to initiate corrective actions. The function carry out several activities including business controlling, analysis and reporting as well as inventory records.



As our current business controller will go on parental leave during 12 months (August 2022 to 2023) we are looking for a replacer during this period. We are looking for an analytic controller and analyst to monitor our contract portfolio of the powertrain (Extended product coverage) at Parts & Services. We are looking for a person with interesting to understand, monitor and improve the performance of the contracts via understanding what drives the portfolio quality.



The purpose for our Extended product coverage contract portfolio is to strength the total service business. It is a portfolio that consists of repair contract between Head Office and the distributer to support longer and more extensive contracts, start-up of new segments and markets, cross border traffic and for new technology. The portfolio consists of around 41 000 contracts to a portfolio value of 900 MSEK.



Main responsibilities

• Carry out analysis of the Extended product coverage portfolio to the business area, quality department and to the business units.
• Support and enabling business owners in pricing discussions
• Projecting the financial outcome of the portfolio value for quarterly projection and long term financial planning
• Supporting the development of PowerBI reports and other data projects
• Continuously establish and implement The Scania way principles in our way of working



You will report to Head of Business Control Parts & Services and will be part of a team with three business controllers located in Södertälje. You will also work closely to the business owner of the product portfolio, business units as well as with the quality department at R&D.



Who are you?

We are looking for an analytic person that are interesting analysing big data, detecting deviation and translating the financial result in to business numbers. Previously working with contracts or experience from working with product controlling will be an advantage.

As a person you are thorough, organized and have the readiness to challenge the current situation or process step by step. We believe that you are business-minded with the ability to analyze big data volumes, see the main results and convert that into pedagogic communication material.



Most probably you have experience from a business analyst or financial/business controller role and is ready for the next step. You have a MSc in Industrial engineering and/or MSc in Economics and Business Administration with relevant work experience from business process analysis. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. An appetite and competence for learning, utilizing and improving existing IT-tools as well as previous knowledge of an ERP system will be an advantage.
