Description:
Assist the project manager with scoping, planning, cost estimating
• Identifying requirements and the translation of the business requirements into specific deliverables. Defines the technical solution to implement the business requirement with collaboration and support from the Solution Architect
• Independently lead Teradata data warehouse, Teradata Aster, Hadoop, Teradata Application, or Teradata solution implementation projects of low to moderate complexity or lead subprojects within complex projects as part of the project management team.
• Ensure projects or subprojects are completed including handover to Maintenance on time, within budget, and expectations for quality and functionality.
• Manage business acceptance of the deliverables and manage business expectations in line with the requirements and standards
• Assist the project manager in day to day relationships with project team and resolution of all issues.
• Guides the onsite/offshore resources, and external consultants within the project team
• Working with Project Manager, outlines who in the project team will work on the project deliverables.
• Communicates risks to the Project Manager as and when they are identified. Works with the PM to try and identify a mitigation plan.
• Reviews technical implementation performed by the ETL developers and ensures that the deliverables are in-line with standards
• Is willing to jump-in and perform coding, code reviews and/or testing activity, if situation demands
• Takes part in overall project planning and project meetings
• Takes part in User Acceptance Testing to clarify any business queries
• Ensures that any bugs identified during various testing lifecycle are addressed to the developers and the fix is performed correctly.
• Takes part in Knowledge Transfer sessions with Maintenance Team and ensures the concerns from maintenance team are addressed correctly.
• Although the preference is to keep the technical lead onsite, he/she works from offshore if the situation demands.
• Responsible for evaluating the performance and impact of project/release.
• Working with Release Manager to ensure smooth production deployment.
• Ensure all documents are produced and reviewed during project life cycle before MA handover.
• Provide input to Capacity Report at the beginning of the project and re-evaluate before production deployment.
