DVP Solution Unit
Solution Unit DVP ("Develop Products & Procurement") is a global unit within Group IT. The mission of the unit is to develop and maintain IT solutions and services delivered to the Product development and Procurement functions of Volvo Group.
Solution Center Purchasing
Solution Center Purchasing is a global function within DVP Solution Units with responsibility to develop and maintain IT solutions and services for all procurement functions within Volvo Group. The Solution Center has full lifecycle responsibility of all solutions and services from new development, enhancement and maintenance. Also handling licenses and services fees for bought services and constantly delivering improvements and Innovations.
We are looking for Business Analyst to join our team!
• We are looking for a Business Analyst competence to support us with strategic IT projects, Roll-outs, Manage the Solution and Innovations in the Indirect Procurement area for Volvo Group. In this role you will be a part of the global team in the Purchasing Solution Center.
• Our existing solution and service offerings to the Indirect Procurement business in Volvo Group comprises of a mixture of varied technologies Microsoft, Java and Off the shelf IT solutions SAP Ariba, Trade shift, SAP FieldGlass. We find ourselves on the cusp of a transformation with heavy investments to transform our existing portfolio to buy standard off the shelf IT solutions and services. We also build mobile apps and microservices, dabble with RPA and predictive data analysis and very curious about how technology can add value to our business!
Role mission & context
We see that a Business Analyst within Volvo Group IT has the ability to speak the languages of Business and also an inclination to Technology and is able to bridge the two - Business and IT. A Business analyst has basic understanding of project management and possesses core Business analysis skills like establishing a problem statement, defining a business case, capturing business requirements, driving workshops, designing user experience, verifying the solution meets business needs, Promoting the solution and the ability to translate a business problem into an IT service or a solution. We see our Business Analyst as key advisors to our Business stakeholders on the possibilities and limitations of IT.

Required Competencies
• Good understanding of the Indirect Procurement (Non-automotive purchasing) domain and IT solutions and services connected to Procurement.
• Business analysis skills - Problem definition in a process and IT context, Business case evaluation, Business requirement elicitation, Work shopping, Use case definitions
• Basic understanding of Agile ways of working in delivering IT services and solutions
• Experiences from ERP solutions like SAP within the area of procurement will be seen an icing on the cake, but are not mandatory
• Ability to lead yourself and lead others
• Ability to train end user community
• Basic project management skills - Setting a plan and execution, Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Communication Plan, Budgeting
• Strong communication and Presentation skill in both oral and written in English
• A keen interest and passion for business, technology and innovation
• Relevant university degree, ideally in the area of Information Technology
