STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB is located on Händelö in Norrköping and has ST as the majority owner since February 2019. The company was originally called Norstel AB and is ST's competence center in silicon carbide material technology. Silicon carbide (SiC) is a new semiconductor that contributes to a sustainable future with more energy-efficient power components. The company has been developing silicon carbide for 20 years, first at Linköping University and since 2006 in a production facility in Norrköping. The production area on Händelö in Norrköping is 2000 m2 and the facility runs around the clock. The focus is now on the development and pilot production of silicon carbide disks for vehicle electronics.
Job description
In our Norrköping facility we develop and manufacture semi-conductor materials for next generation of electronics. This requires constant changes and improvements not only in the crystal growth process it also apply to our IT systems and IT integration. You will be the interface between the R&D/process engineers in Norrköping and the IT development teams on other sites in the ST family. To be successful in the role you need more communication skills than you need programing, this is to make sure you get the right IT projects defined and implemented as efficient as possible. It is a must you quickly can understands business problems and translate them in request for IT developments teams.
At ST in Norrköping we are a small team, and it is normal to have many different tasks on-going at the same time and as you must be able to help a colleague with both small IT problems as well sorting out the impossible ones.
Your profile
Your Experience:
• Professional and/or academic experience from data analytics and data visualization
• Hands-on experience form integration of process tools in a IT infrastructure
We would like you to know most of following:
• Master excel
• Programming
• Statistics from a quality and production perspective
As a person you need to be open minded and see solutions and new ways to solve problems. Despite not being a programing role, you will work closely with IT development teams, and you need to have some hands-on experience form similar work.
