As Business Analyst at Volvo Cars Engine (VCE) in Skövde you will you will be a part of VCE IT MES (Manufacturing Execution System) team. The team currently supports the Skövde Plant, Floby Plants and the Engine Center Gent. The Business Analyst position will primarily have a machining business scope, in the MES system area (ISA 95). Important competence areas will be business requirements gathering communication and solution design.
Main responsibilities
• Lead and perform pre-studies
• Tailor the BA approach and plan the requirements process
• Determine how to develop, specify and secure requirements in enough detail to allow them to be successfully implemented
• Bring out, elaborate and communicate requirements
• Workshop facilitation of business modelling, requirements elicitation, information modelling etc
• Lead prioritisation meetings of requirements based on aspects such as business value, technical risk etc
• Manage requirements by documenting and organising requirements as well as keeping track of and controlling changes to both requirements and the project scope
• Identify requirement changes and assess impact of the change
• Establish and maintain requirements traceability
• Coordination with Technology/Application Mangers, Business Analysts, IT Service Managers and IT Service Owners as applicable
Required qualifications
• M.Sc. or equivalent work experience
• Good communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Skilled in leading requirement workshops and modelling seminars
• Capability to take in a multitude of information/data and synthesize to see trends
• General knowledge of application architectural analysis and design is an asset
• Experience in working as business analyst is meritorious
• Experience within VCC, MES or ERP Systems is meritorious
• Experience from projects run with iterative methods is an asset
• General Global Automotive Experience is preferred
• ITIL certification and/or strong understanding is meritorious
• DITS (Deliver IT Solutions) or equivalent project management methodology is an asset
