The team you will belong to; Team CA & Product Material is a group within Chassis Development department Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg. We have responsibilities within customer adaptation, master builds, and material handling.
The whole group consists of 11 people whereof 3 are build and update leaders. We work together with many colleagues with different technical skills and cultures, which gives you the opportunity to develop yourself. We all have passion for technology and are driven by developing a sustainable transport industry - and have fun while doing it!
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Chassis development department works with installation of complete chassis for FH/FM/FMX and are responsible for the complete chassis delivery. We are constantly increasing our product change portfolio along with new technologies such as battery electric vehicles and fuel cell technology.
As a 'BUL' your main responsibility is to be chassis department responsible when it comes to product change builds, rig updates and rebuilds. You will be the department representative in different fora's such as Vehicle Update Meetings, which is driven by Product Builds. The tasks will be to investigate how build updates is affecting chassis department in different product updates, and then to secure specification updates in PROTOM system and secure material through material request order which is the carrier for material of test objects.
Responsibility will also be to coordinate and order parts for chassis department when needed for builds, masters, field tests projects etc. You will be the link between the design engineers and the product managers and epic owners.
You will also be interface towards Truck uptime owners to assist them in securing spare parts when needed for field test trucks.
Main Deliveries
Focus will be investigations in respective rebuild to grip the chassis content and secure that the truck id is being correctly updated in PROTOM, and to secure material in time for these rebuilds.

You shall have a general technical interest and be curious, be able to take own initiatives, committed to finalize the tasks and have a strong drive for improvements.
You are an engineer with preferably experience of coordination. You have several years of truck product knowledge and automotive industry. You are proficient in English.
An advantage is of course knowledge in Volvo systems such as PROTOM, Gloria, KOLA, Creo view etc.
