Body Acoustics CAE Engineer

The section Vehicle and Body NVH CAE is a part of the Noise and Vibration (N&V) Centre in the Product Development area at Volvo Car Group. The N&V Centre has the responsibility to ensure that the attribute Noise and Vibration is supported in the vehicle programs, both in terms of customer and legal requirements. Within the CAE section we have the responsibility for both Vehicle, Body and Gas Exchange NVH CAE from a complete vehicle perspective in car programs and Advanced Engineering. The team works integrated in all project phases, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve the N&V attribute in our cars.

We are now looking for CAE Engineer with Body Acoustics as working area to strengthen the deliverables and the development of next generation CAE tools and analysis.

Main responsibilities

• Perform NVH CAE analysis for body structure and acoustics
• Participate in car program teams and communicate analysis results and guide the design work from a NVH perspective
• Participate in the requirement setting of the NVH attribute at system level
• Participate in the development of improved or new methods and model capability
• Participate in implementation of new software / hardware
• Lead and take responsibility in NVH CAE assignments dependent of experience and knowledge

Required qualifications

• Master of Science or higher education in Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering or Engineering Physics or similar
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Knowledge in structural dynamics and engineering acoustics
• Knowledge in Nastran, Ansa, Matlab and Hyperworks are an advantage
