You will be part of the Volvo Group IT Organization. Firstly, to the Infrastructure and Onsite Services (IOS) department, which count 600 employees worldwide, and is mainly in charge of the IT Infrastructure and delivery execution for IT services through local presence. Secondly, to the Quality & Security (Q&S) department.
Quality & Security is a new function providing to every IT delivery team within Volvo Group the capacity to operate efficiently with their IT quality and security. Our mission is functionally driving and steering IT quality and IT security across the entire IT delivery organizations of the Volvo Group based on 4 pillars:
Lean transformation of IT delivery teams
Living process organization around Service Now tool
Fast and agile one-time delivery organization
Agile security and vulnerability management
You will be reporting to the Performance Management Manager in Q&S and work in close collaboration with Infrastructure & Operations teams, Cyber Security, our suppliers (e.g. HCL) as well as other delivery units.
BI developer is a critical part of the performance management function to secure that we have the skills, the knowledge and the tools to turn data into knowledge.
Your main responsibilities:
Power BI development and administration
Building Analysis Services reporting models
Translate business needs to technical specifications
Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
Create structures & tools to store data
Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
Maintain and improve existing Power BI systems
Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
Develop and update technical documentation
Your Profile:
Graduated with a bachelor or master's degree in technical/IT, you preferably have at least 5 years of experience in business analytics area
Previous experience as a BI developer
Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports
Team player
Service oriented mindset
Complete proficiency in English
Good communication & presentation skills since you will have strong stakeholder interactions from different stakeholder, inside and outside Volvo Group
Experience from working with performance analytics in Service Now as well as data analytics is a plus
Location is flexible at any of our preferred main sites in Sweden (Gothenburg or Skövde), France (Lyon), Belgium (Ghent), Poland (Wroclaw) and India (Bangalore).
