At Product Development, Sweden, a sub-division of Pharmaceutical Development, we focus on the fields of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases and on Respiratory, Inflammatory and Autoimmune Diseases.
To build in innovation and quality into our novel medicines, drug material understanding requires continuous efforts, from drug substance or product design to process selection.
Beyond particle size, grain properties such as surface morphology, porosity, shape, density, surface energy are critical parameters to understand and engineer. This science, applied to individual or agglomerated particles, allows the control of powder properties to optimize manufacturing and performance of the final product.
Your vision and experience would help to design the next generations of innovative products and processes aimed to expand and maintain our leading position in the field of Pharmaceutical Science.

The Role
Product Development is looking for an Associate Principal Scientist / Senior Scientist in Material Science who will provide input in the area of material design, characterization and understanding of particles (drug substance, blends) during the formulation development of oral drug products.
As recognized scientific leader, you will be facilitating the communication of threats and opportunities in the oral product portfolio associated to material science.
Your experience gained in control strategy coupled with your track record of scientific communication in the field of Micromeritics Science or Powder technology would be a serious advantage in this role.
