Union work at Scania is in an expansive phase. The need for coordination and cooperation with colleagues at Volkswagen and MAN is essential.
The aim of our work is to secure employment with good conditions for the workers of Scania.
Scania Employee Workers Council has the following opening in Södertälje, placed at department XL, starting at the earlies possible date.
Your tasks
• Preparation and professional support of meetings of the different group unions at Scania and their committees
• Prepare the basis of decisions for the works council members in the board of directors of Scania CV AB, Supervisory Board of Truck & Bus GMBH and Volkswagen GMBH
• Support of cross-brand/cross company exchange at the works council level
• Coordination of collective bargaining - preparation, topics, if neessary partition in negotiations
• Support the implementation of policies concerning working conditions, standards and corporate guidelines
• Acting as point of contact for the works council at Scania
Your profile
You have successfully completed academic studies in Social Sciences, Economics, Project Management or equal. You have fluent proficiency in english, in both spoken and written. Knowledge in German language is an merit.
You share the labour movement values and ideas and have deep knowledge of the union structures in Sweden and at Scania.
As a person you have good strategic capability toghether with abstract and analytical thinking.

The position is an appointment at Scania Employee Workers Council and you will be working closely with Johan Järvklo, President of IF Metall and the Group Unions at Scania and member of the Supervisory Board of VW. Administratively responsible for the position is Sofia Vahlne, Head of Labour Affairs.
