The main goal for our Product Management function is to ensure and maintain a competitive product portfolio within the areas of turning, milling, drilling and machine integration. We are now strengthening our organization and looking for two Application Specialists within the area of Indexable Milling Tools - Profile/High Feed Milling and Slot Milling - who will have key roles in all stages of the product life cycle. The roles involve many contacts, at the headquarters, in all of our subsidiaries and with customers, thereby opening up many future career opportunities. The location for Profile/High Feed Milling is preferably in Fondettes, and for Slot Milling Sandviken.
Key performance areas
As an Application Specialist you are responsible for developing application knowledge, running training and taking part in the development of a product strategy that ensures a competitive and profitable product offering in line with our business strategy. You work closely with the Product Management and R&D team.
Work is conducted in a global network and in key markets to develop knowledge about the product?s application area, understand customer needs, gather market requirements and forecast future trends.
The position involves traveling.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in engineering and/or professional experience in machining and manufacturing. Experience of marketing in a local sales or global environment is advantageous. Great communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are a requirement.
As a person you are self-motivated, with well-developed interpersonal skills. You are creative and open to change, with the ability to share your knowledge with others and to prioritize tasks. Further, you have very good communicational skills and are used to giving presentations and working with a large audience, as well as smaller teams. You also have the ability to take a holistic view and you have good analytical abilities.
