About the job:
You will join the Onsite team as an Application Operation Professional in Umeå. Quality and continuous improvements out of a LEAN perspective will be essential in this position. In your daily work you will primary work with Databases and applications integrations used in production systems at the local Volvo Plant. Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to participate in industrial projects driven by local business or/and Group IT. Customer success is always in our mind.
Your main responsibilities include:
Administration of Databases
Application integrations in factory production systems
Configuration and installation of applications and integrations
Preventive maintenance and continuous improvement
Test and verification in Test and QA environment
Technical contact for database development
Technical contact for database security
Assist during database related incidents
Supports database functioning to application developers or other people using the database
Follow up and forecast volumes (e.g. CPU and storage estimations)
Propose changes concerning the database which make the system more efficient and / or reduce operation or maintenance costs
Makes commitments that fall within the tasks given by authorized personnel.

About you:
We expect you to maybe have a degree from university studies and a couple of years of experience working in DBA administration or similar role. You have good knowledge of LEAN and previous experience from working with customer contacts. Your solid knowledge of ITIL processes, support tools such as Remedy, Snow or similar, as well as infrastructure components like LAN, Server storage and Cloud will give you the necessary foundation to deliver good results. In addition you are interested in new technologies and to further develop yourself and others.
Qualifications / requirements for the job:
Knowledge of DBA like Qracle and SQL
2-3 years of experience from IT within manufacturing industry
2-3 years of experience from working with Application operation or similar role
Experience from LEAN and working with continuous improvements
Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written
Good knowledge about Office 365
Additional qualifications include:
Mainframe DBA knowledge
Knowledge of IT Infrastructure
Experience from work in projects
Experience of project implementations and testing.
Knowledge about PLC equipment and communication in factory environment
Experience about working in ITIL processes
Knowledge about LEAN (and VPS)
