We are now looking for our new Application Engineer!

Job description

The Application Engineer Dewatering actively supports the sales process providing reliable solutions for all technical and administrative issues to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability.

Essential Duties:

• Supporting sales with technical and commercial information and managing correspondence and internal administration.

• Managing support cases, in the first instance to our distributors, but also to customers, consultants, and other stakeholders. This may include technical product questions, choice of products and to some extent the design of systems in which our products are included.

• Travelling in the region to support at local seminars/exhibitions, delivering presentations and propose dewatering solutions to local customers.

• Application engineering for dewatering applications. Performing analysis of different pumping application, selecting the most suitable equipment as well as securing system functionality.

• Constantly contributing to improving our sales support processes and streamline administration.
• Keeping up to date with the latest developments of xylem's products and services, making sure that we spread this information among our sales channels.

• Keeping informed about the latest developments in the relevant markets, monitoring of our partners and their sale in collaboration with our "regional managers".

• Providing technical support to customers (distributors, consultant and other stakeholders).

• Listening, understanding and conveying customer requirements.

• Handling customers' requirements and preparing quotations (in coordination with field sales).

• Reporting customer related actions in CRM.

• Maintaining professional business relationships with the Field Sales Team, Business Development Managers, GC Managers and with the Customers.

• Keeping up to date with products and competitors.

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Engineering

• Experience in technical sales support or Customer Service

• Experience in sales and marketing

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Fluent in English

• Customer orientated

• "Supportive" mindset / Team player / good in cooperation skills

• Self-starter with high motivation to achieve corporate and personal goals

• Proactively engaged in the development of his/her job, his/her department and the company

• Good communication, presentation, flexibility and interpersonal skills

• Genuine interest in technology and the Environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluent in other East European languages (Russian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Greek etc.)

• Experience in a multi-cultural environment

• Field experience from operation/maintenance of pumping systems

Travel requirement:

• Travelling will be required - estimated 30 day/year with trips ranging from 3 days up to a week in length.
