To the Solid State Characterization team in Gothenburg we are looking for two consultants who will contribute to Innovative Medicines & Early Clinical Development.
The Arena:
Pharmaceutical Sciences is a department within Innovative Medicines and Early Development (IMED) Biotech unit. The vision for Pharmaceutical Sciences is to deliver the therapies of the future through scientific leadership in drug delivery, design of synthetic routes and manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API). Our portfolio of projects span traditional small molecules to nucleotide based therapies and nanomedicines across AstraZeneca's therapy areas.
AstraZeneca is looking for 2 talented and motivated analytical chemists to their Analytical and Solid State Characterization team in Gothenburg. You will get the opportunity to join a highly collaborative team and help them deliver the analytical chemistry (stability, solubility, purity etc.) of products in the Innovative Medicines & Early Clinical Development (IMED) portfolio. You will provide analytical science expertise into their drug projects from discovery up to Phase 2.
To be successful in this role you will need a strong scientific background with good skills in written and verbal communication and the ability to engage and collaborate across boundaries with a problem solving attitude and delivery focus.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Work collaboratively with colleagues in a lab based role, documenting your experiments carefully and to the right quality.
Provide analytical, especially separation science expertise to the drug projects you are working in.
Personally contribute to the progression of projects by timely delivery of data and scientifically based data analysis.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:
MSc.or equivalent in relevant discipline with some industry experience
Scientific knowledge within the separation science area
Technical skills to use chromatography and detection of small molecules
Good problem solving skills with the ability to learn quickly
Collaborative and structured in way of working, ability to act independently.
