For AstraZeneca we are now looking for an Analytical Scientist in Analytical Chemistry for a consultant assignment that will start in February and go on for one year with possibility for extension.
Publiceringsdatum2016-12-16Dina arbetsuppgifterThe department Advance Drug Delivery in Gothenburg develops formulations and analytical methods for nucleotide based drugs i.e. oligos and mRNA. We work in preclinical and clinical phase up to Phase 2 b within the cardiovascular, metabolic and oncology therapy areas.
Tasks and responsibilities/The role:
We are looking for an analytical scientist who can work together with us to support our projects and platforms with analyses of oligonucleotides and mRNA. You will determine concentrations and purity, characterize stability and degradation of the nucleotide molecule, the formulated product and the individual excipients in the formulations. You will be working according to GLS and GMP and collaborate with other analytical chemists and formulation scientists in project teams to drive the projects and technologies forward.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
Minimum requirements:
MSc or equivalent in chemistry, preferably analytical chemistry. Good knowledge in written and spoken English is necessary.
Experienced in analyses of nucleotide based molecules by one or several of the methods; LC, LC-MS, CE, gel electrophoresis or plate based fluorescence assays.
Preferred experience and key factors:
You should be organised, analytical, flexible and accurate. Ability to both work on your own and together with others. Experience of working on a GLP level in pharmaceutical industry or equivalent with oligos, RNA, peptides or lipids is an advantage.
