Complete Vehicle Attributes (PKV) and VE Quality, is responsible for attribute validation, field and reliability testing and Vehicle Engineering quality work & processes as well as representing Volvo Cars final customer. Validation/testing is performed according to customer oriented virtual and physical methods, in rigs, at test tracks and public roads, in different environment all over the world. The department is also responsible for management test drives for Volvo Cars. The section Reliability testing is focusing on identifying reliability remarks (repairable items), concentrating at showroom impression up to 1 year in service. The testing is performed on complete vehicles and rigs.
As an Analysis Engineer at reliability testing department, you perform functional testing together with test drives, you plan, perform analysis and report test results. Your geographical location will be at our proving ground Hällered, Borås. You will work close together with other project team members at complete vehicle attribute department in Gothenburg. This require periodically traveling to Gothenburg.Occasionally traveling is required to our test sites outside Sweden, but not on regular bases.
Main responsibilities
• Lead different test codes of complete vehicle, related to quality and reliability including functions. Most frequent test is 5000 km and 20000 km test
• Initiate and perform hard- and software analysis, actively contact item owner and describe testing issues. Be able to use different log equipment to collect applicable data/recordings to pin point testing issues
• Report testing issues, in cooperation with related project
• Verify suggested solutions
• If applicable at test end, show the test car to the project audience, describe problems and write reports
• Control that the test cars has correct status and if applicable, secure correct HW/SW status
• Use different It-system to verify correct SW status and if applicable download new SW
• Test planning, monitor delivery of test objects, book related equipment f.i. cold and heat chamber and test drivers
• Close cooperation with Hällered test drivers and mechanics
Required qualification
• Master of Science, Bachelor of Science or relevant technical experience gained from earlier positions
• Very good knowledge within hybrid, electric and fuel cell technique
• Good complete vehicle knowledge
• Passion for current and future customers and cars
• Good presentation skills
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Driving license, B

• Good in cooperation and communication, both verbal and written
• Good social skills to cooperate with other members/teams/organisations
• High grade of patience and flexibility regarding i.e. time and resource planning
