This is us
The department Sustainability Centre belongs to Complete Vehicle Engineering and is responsible for leading sustainability within Research and Development. Aerodynamics is one of several attributes within the department.
At Aerodynamics, we work closely together with other engineering departments and Product Design to develop the vehicle exterior as well as components and systems in order to be leading in energy efficiency and achieve stable driving dynamics. Our assignment stretches from start-up of a product concepts to final validation, setting and confirming target fulfilment and product data. We are also involved in research and external collaborations together with national and international partners. There are two agile teams within the group: Aero Product Launch and Aero Development.
Your mission
Over time, you will be involved in all phases of the design and development of our products, including the pre-study work for vehicle programs. You will collaborate with Product Design and other areas affecting Aerodynamics. You will work with improving our products, setting data and be responsible for analysis work (physical and CAE).
You will also
• Plan, prepare and perform wind tunnel tests and CFD calculations
• Develop new testing equipment and analysis methods
• Conduct analysis and create recommendations
• Contribute to the development of the group
• Oral and written presentations in various foras and systems
Who you are
You are a team-orientated person who is communicative, self-driven and able to take your own initiatives. You will develop your engineering skills, skills in product development and attribute work as well as gaining a network within the company. To thrive we believe you are performance driven with the ability to prioritise between different tasks and keep deadlines. Part of your role includes contributing to more energy efficient movement of people and sustainability. It is key that you are inclusive with openness to change and willingness to contribute to good working atmosphere as well as interest in developing our group and the teams in the group. Above all you have high integrity and professionalism in your ways of working.
You and your skills
• University degree, at least B.Sc. or equivalent in Engineering
• Skills in fluid dynamics and a proven record of experience from that field.
• Skills in CFD (e.g. STAR).
• High level of communication skills, e.g. presentations etc
• Fluent in English, verbal and written
• Driver 's license
• Experience from working with aerodynamics in the automotive industry is meritorious.
• Experience from wind tunnel tests and development of measurement systems is meritorious.
