The department Vehicle Propulsion - Power is a part of Research and Development and is responsible for the development of all Internal Combustions engines and all Hybrid engines. The group Mechanical-Functional Testing consists of 18 engineers who are responsible to lead and conduct Mechanical Functional Testing & Verification for all of Volvo Cars propulsion systems.
We are now searching for an Analysis engineer who 's main responsibility will be oil consumption. You will conduct tests in test cells and vehicles, both at Hällered and on expeditions in Europe. You will analyze the results and report to the responsible department. According to Volvo Cars's aim to move testing into tests cells, your challenge will be to develop test methods that corresponds the real driving.

Main responsibilities
* In ongoing car projects you will plan, perform and complete testing within the area
* You will execute testing in test cells with appointed engines, further you will develop new test methods in cooperation with concept and function owners, hence to move tests from vehicle into test cell
* After testing you will analyze test results and communicate them to responsible design engineers and calculation groups
* Continuous monitoring and reporting of errors found will be one of you daily responsibilities
* Few times per year you will participate on expeditions, in order to execute testing in different environments and climates
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
* Automotive experience with good knowledge of engine functionality and understanding of CAE
* Experience in testing and development of engines
* Knowledge of INCA-PC, MDA, Mathlab
* Fluent English, written and spoken; Swedish is beneficial
* Driving license "B", with few years of driving experience

Due to be able to communicate with different stakeholders, we expect you to have good communicational skills. Further you should be sociable and team oriented. At you work, we need you to be analytical, focused, structured and organized, in order to successfully plan and finalize your assignments. Moreover, you should be flexible and enjoy working in different locations and environments.
