We currently have the following job opening;
After Market Quality Technical Support Specialist
An After Market Quality, AMQ - Technical Support Specialist is managing the third line support requests from all markets. A support request can be about attribute deviation as well as broken parts.
The main market where the cars are sold, initially, is China (EU and US is planned within the near future). The vehicle production plants are located in China.
Support will normally be offered from office in Gothenburg. Periodically when needed support will be carried out by visiting workshops and/or training facilities in China.
Technical Support communication will be operated via a report system. The interface towards the market is via the National Sales Company, NSC.
Beyond managing support requests the Technical Support Specialist will deliver training to less experienced AMQ engineers and NSC engineers and act as mentor to Technical Support colleagues when applicable.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Manage the Support request reports according to service level agreement
- With remote take over, perform SW-download in cars
- Refine information in reports and deliver report content to other parts of AMQ, on request
- Create and maintain a network about where to get expertise for the different areas of the car
- Participate at Technical presentations/conferences on the Market, when applicable
- Act as mentor for new employed Technical Support Engineer
Requirements
- B. Sc. or several years of relevant experience
- At least 5 years' experience from working hands on with fault tracing and/or repair in cars
- At least 5 years' experience from working in a technical support role for cars
- Experience shall include deep knowledge and fault tracing in car software structure
- Experience shall include ability to do analysis from vehicle logging equipment. Example CAN logger
- Experience shall include attribute judgement and ability to draw conclusions from engine behavior, noise, vibration and harshness input information. Example from audio file or by driving.
- Experience from an international and multi-language environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluency in English, both oral and written. Chinese and other European language is meritorious.
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic and developing organization
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with colleagues and external partners
- Able to travel when needed to support operations in China
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
- Driving license for car
