hela Sverige We are now looking for a ADME Scientist with in vitro metabolism skills to Astra Zeneca's Drug Metabolism & Disposition team. You need to be a good communicator with great team working skills, including cross-cultural sensitivity. This is a consultant assignment starting as soon as possible and will continue for approximate 7 month, with a chance of prolongation.

The Area
The CVMD Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department supports lead identification and optimization by providing data and advice to research projects with respect to ADME and PK properties to guide drug design. A strong emphasize is made on predicting human pharmacokinetics and translating animal PK-PD relationships to human. The key objective is to minimize attrition during the development Phase due to inappropriate pharmacokinetic properties and to minimize drug - drug interactions.
Major Responsibilities
The team you will be working within is responsible for initiating, planning and carrying out both screening and in depth evaluations of vitro metabolism and transporter studies in projects in drug discovery to predict human pharmacokinetics. They are using several different in vitro techniques deploying cell fractions, cultured cells but also tissue slices.
Minimum Requirements
You should have an MSc in Pharmaceutical sciences, Pharmacokinetics, Biochemistry or Biology. Experience and/or traceable record in in vitro metabolism as well as industrial experience will be an advantage. The candidate should have good communication, interpersonal and team working skills, including cross-cultural sensitivity. Preferred work experience includes cell culture of mammalian cells, work with tissue and cell fractions, sample analysis with LC-MSMS, immunohistochemical staining and qPCR techniques.
