Active Safety Engineering Manager:
To accelerate the team development and meet Business Plan targets, we are searching an Engineering Manager who will have responsibility for All Application Engineering activities in Japan. The position is located in ShinYokohama (AEJ-Y) and covers all product lines: Radar, Vision, Night Vision and ADS Engineering.
Position description:
You will lead and manage the Active Safety Application Engineering team in Japan by develop organization and resource plan in line with the Autoliv Business Plan. Select, hire, train and mentor skilled engineers according to the resource plan. You lead effective project development according to Autoliv Product Development System, to meet customer expectations and Autoliv targets. Furthermore you develop and implement relevant procedures, Project and Technical reviews and infrastructure for effective Active Safety application Engineering. To accomplish this you lead an organization with subordinate managers and employees.
We expect you to Establish processes to enhance the overall promotion and project execution cycle with other AAS Organization stake holders (Sales, Business development, Quality, Logistic, etc). Consolidate and share relevant and up to date technical data related to Japan market, competitor benchmark, and OEM future Safety strategies to the Product Management team, in order to maintain Autoliv roadmap technical lead.It's important that you develop strong collaboration relationship with the rest of the Asia Active Safety organization and rest of the Electronics Organization to ensure cross-pollination of teamsandshare of resources. The work includes ongoing meetings with Customer Executives for strategic partnership and Roadmap alignment.
Personal qualifications:
To succeed in the job as Active Safety Engineering Manager you need to have engineering background, documented leadership and team management abilities.
A plus is multi-cultural experience and experience from Automotive Industry.
We think you are an outgoing person who is skilled in communication. You should have a strategic thinking and easy to take decisions with good leadership skills. You need to be business-oriented and open to multicultural cooperation.
