Stena Line's Finance department has a crucial part in this journey as we continue to digitalise and automate our processes to provide effective and efficient support to our business activities. The utilisation of robotics and other technologies allows our co-workers to focus on value-adding activities rather than the monotone and repetitive. We are a centralised Finance function primarily based in Gothenburg and we handle the business administration for most of Stena Line's 40 legal entities in several European countries.
What will you do?
Stena Line Accounting currently consists of 12 employees including 2 managers, with the main task of planning and executing monthly and quarterly closings for Stena Line's operational and legal units. You will have direct responsibility for 4 to 6 Accountants, each responsible for different companies . You will also work in close cooperation with other colleagues in the Finance Department and other areas. We want you to have a great interest in leadership and development of processes and routines.
As a manager you will be part of our Finance department, a centralized function located in Gothenburg. In this position, you will have great opportunities to gain good insight into a larger internationally active group. You will lead and actively participate in the accounting work and development of a modern Finance function. The position may involve some travel.
The Accounting department's other responsibilities include:
• Improving and streamlining accounting procedures and processes
• Ensuring that we comply with local legislation and the Group's accounting principles
• Providing support and training to other departments both within Finance and line organizations
• Reporting of VAT and excise duties
Who are you?

In this role we are looking for someone with dual personalities; able to switch from digging into details to adopting the helicopter view and handling the short-term while planning for the long-term. The must-have's:
• B. Sc. in Business Administration and Economics or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience from a, preferably, international business or audit firm
• Big interest in how processes and systems are working together
We also think that you have worked as a manager and have found that what you're passionate in development of organisation and people. We assume that you are fluent in Swedish - a native speaker or on that level, and that you are fluent in English, both written and spoken. You express yourself well and have a good communication and cooperation skill as well as having ability to learn fast.
