Accountant / Analyst
Temporary position in Stockholm

The BCG Nordic Finance Team serves the BCG Nordic system from the Stockholm office, which is located in beautiful premises in the Old Town.

The position:
BCG Nordic Finance is looking for an Accountant / Analyst to the Finance team. The role is a temporary replacement for a maternity leave of approx 1.5 years. Primary focus for the role is project administration, accounts receivable, cash collection, budget / estimate cycles and management reporting for the Helsinki office and also reporting / analysis on Nordic level.

The responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
• Day-to-day project administration activities for the Helsinki office, open/close projects, preparation and send-out of client invoices and cash collection process
• Monthly management reporting for the Helsinki office (cost reporting, local KPI reporting and other ad hoc reporting)
• Preparing, analyzing and presenting budgets and estimates for the Helsinki office
• Work closely with the Senior Analyst in helping with Nordic reporting / Nordic budget process
• Close interaction with the Helsinki Partner and project leaders in the project administration process
• Continually seek to improve processes together with the Nordic Finance team
• Manage relationship with local budget owners in regards to the budget process
• Take on ad hoc projects on Nordic level as needed

You will work closely with your colleagues in the Nordic Finance Team, and interact frequently with local stakeholders in the Helsinki office, as well as with an extensive network of contacts within BCG Global Services.

The successful candidate:
You have a Bachelor or Masters degree in Accounting or Financial Management, and you are a skilled user of Microsoft Excel and also have experience of working in Powerpoint. You have previous experience from working with financial systems such as Oracle or SAP. You are proficient in both oral and written English.

We expect you to have experience in accounting activities, preferably from an international professional services company. In previous roles you have accumulated skills such as book keeping, internal reporting, budget / estimate process, and you have been involved in analyzing KPIs and reports.

We value strong organization and communication skills, with demonstrated success to drive tasks to conclusion. Further, you need to have a high level of initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness, patience, and tolerance for ambiguity. You are structured, pay attention to details, and like to take the initiative and proactively search for information on how to best solve your tasks, with an ability to combine a hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Finally, you interact effectively with other people, and you are comfortable managing relationships and stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
