Your role and responsibilities:
ABB's Robotics & Discrete Automation business is writing the future of flexible factory and smart machines by providing value-added solutions in robotics, machine and factory automation. Our integrated automation solutions, application expertise across a wide scope of industries and our global presence deliver tangible customer value. The ABB Robotics production plant in Västerås is recruiting a manager for the Production Engineering Cabinet Assembly and Verification department. In this role you report to the Manager Industrial Engineering and be a member of the Management Team for Industrial Engineering organization.
As Manager Production Engineering Cabinet Assembly and Verification, you will lead and develop a team with approximately 15 employees in their daily work, delivering in pro-jects and supporting daily production. At ABB Robotics in Västerås we have a very inter-esting journey ahead of us building the new Robotics Campus Sweden.
In this role you will get a chance to shape the future for our new factory and develop this new department together with its team members. You are also responsible to continuously develop the processes for and to secure long term development of methods for assembly of cabinets, testing and verification of our products and also assembly of track motion and delta robots.

Other responsibilities and tasks for you are:
Reinforce and maintain a culture of health & safety in all related initiatives.
Ensure a competitive financial result in line with ABB Robotics' overall strategy.
Together with your team and colleagues within Industrial Engineering secure and develop a state of the art "Required to operate" towards the factory.
Support in introducing WCM and developing the Robotics Production System.
Delivery in the production project portfolio including project governance
Support and cooperation with the global engineering function, R&D and other stakeholders
Support in develop future capabilities and resource balancing to visualize needs and act on gaps related to the factory's current and future state
Support in maintaining and developing the capacity and productivity within area of responsibility.

Qualifications for the role
To be successful in this position, we are looking forward to recruiting a driven, motivated, and solutionoriented leader who can balance care with high pace and multiple tasks. Team focus is essential since you will work in close cooperation with multiple functions and many people. You have the courage to prioritize and make decisions combined with the ability to challenge current processes. You also have the curiosity to try new ideas and take on new technologies. Experience as a manager within production engineering is strongly beneficial for this position.
Other competencies, skills, and experiences that are beneficial to be successful in this position are:
Experience from production assembly, testing and verification, automotive business, pro-duction management are beneficial.
Good knowledge in manufacturing processes and working knowledge of systems such as Lean Manufacturing and WCM.
Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement; Swedish is considered a strong advantage.
Good communication, social, and networking skills.
A strategic mindset with a good sense of urgency for daily operations.
M.Sc. Engineering within Industrial related area or equivalent.
