We are searching for summer job for approximately 3 months doing research studies on direct communication in LTE. The standardization of evolving LTE is continuously ongoing in 3GPP RAN and there is currently an ongoing study item on device-to-device, meaning that the devices talk directly to each other. This could for example be good in a NSPS (National Security and Publix Safety) scenario if the devices are out of reach of the base-stations. The summer job will be about implementing some of our ideas for direct communication in a simulator, analyze the results and document them.
Qualifications
The requirements are:
• Master of Science in digital communication /signal processing (later phase of the education)
• Excellent skills in programming in Matlab and C++
• Excellent English skills
• Curious and open minded. Want to work in groups.
• Knowledge of LTE airinterface
