Purpose of the job:
We are now looking for an experienced and highly competent leader and finance professional with a successful track record in the business of customer finance of commercial vehicles, working closely with the President of VFS Region EMEA to secure and develop our business.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Drive the financial function within the VFS Region EMEA and insure that local management meets/exceeds the financial targets and objectives for the organization.
• Providing guidance to the President of VFS Region EMEA and executives within the organization, regarding critical business activities.
• Pro-actively develop the VFS Region EMEA financial policies, procedures and control measures to ensure that all results and key ratios are controlled, reported in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with Volvo?s financial policies and procedures.
• Effectively coordinate performance management, accounting and planning for the business.

Education:
MBA or equivalent degree/professional qualification in Accounting or Finance from a high quality institution.

Experience:
• At least 15 years of relevant financial experience in asset based finance business of commercial vehicles.
• Demonstrated expertise in establishing and maintaining appropriate accounting and financial controls in financial services for capital equipment such as heavy truck, trailers, construction equipment or buses.
• Established understanding of international accounting standards and implementation.
• Worked within a global environment including extensive business traveling.
• Financial and Risk Management
• Producing and managing monthly economic forecasts, annual business plans and operating expense budgets.
• Managing the interest rate and liquidity risk of the credit portfolio within corporate guidelines.
• Taxation issues relevant to financial services and the heavy equipment industry on a global basis.

Skills
• Excellent knowledge of financial services market.
• Deep knowledge and ability to implement Volvo Financial Policies and Procedures
• Capability to develop short and long term financial planning for the business, setting targets and driving execution.
• In depth knowledge of IFRS, Volvo and VFS specific Accounting standards.
• Capability to establish and maintain a strong internal control environment.
• Knowledge of Treasury tools and their impact on the business.
• Knowledge of Tax regulation and implications for the business results.
• Interpersonal skills to interact and influence at all levels internally and externally
• Leader skills on Leading Leaders level
• Excellent spoken and written English
• High quality verbal and written communication skills
