Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S) is developing the first generation of Self-Driving vehicles, which will redefine the commercial transport solutions that most of us rely on every day. Global Technology Area Verification & Validation - GTA V&V is driving all major V&V activities within Autonomous Driving development chain including different AD Integration steps, System V&V and Physical Transport Mission testing. A diverse set of V&V methodologies is enabled through scenario based Closed Loop Simulation and innovative AD Test Data Analytics in combination with classical open loop SIL/HIL/physical testing.
Verification & Validation of autonomous trucks/machines is central and undoubtably one of the most challenging parts of the autonomous drive development. It is an unexplored complex area that must be completed with strategies and methods proving that autonomous vehicles are safe and fulfil exceptionally severe uptime requirements of commercial transport industry.
We are going through a major growth in order to become the world leading Autonomous Driving V&V organization. As a part of this fantastic journey, we are now in need of a V&V Strategy Leader to take on that challenge. What we have to offer
As a V&V Strategy Lead, you will be responsible for the innovative V.A.S AD V&V Strategy and lead/support the implementation of it. In order to uncover the limitations of our system, improve confidence, and reduce the residual risks as core effort of validating the reliability, safety and uptime of our Automated Driving solution, the different V&V area-owners will implement the strategy supported by your deep technical expertise and coaching. With a holistic view you will, in collaboration with Infrastructure Product Manager, secure that the test environment infrastructure for function and system verification and validation is complete and covers all possible situations, events, and requirements. Outwards, you will be the key V&V interface to our AD Platform Development Product Manager. You will also follow and initiate relevant research within the V&V area to secure technology and methods readiness.

Your life journey contains hopefully being an expert in ADAS/AD V&V, and you have been digging yourself into the infinite space of AD Scenarios running Closed Loop Simulation. To pick up the main points of complex matter quickly is in your bones. If you, in addition to this, are a nerd like me having a Master's or PhD degree in, let 's say Physics/Mathematics or Electrics Engineering or equivalent professional experience, this is the role for you!
