At On-board Telematics we are in the center of the digital transformation, and we work with implementing end-to-end functions like Driver Coaching, ISee, Remote SW Download and Geofencing. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. The development in the area of connectivity is huge, and we expect to be part of the functional growth in Active Safety and Automation in a near future.

We follow the agile mindset from Scrum and Kanban. We work in agile teams and in close cooperation with our stakeholders. "Trust to the teams/servant leaders" is one of our key values. We have empowered teams and expect them to take the full delivery responsibility. The people we hire have both the attitude and competence to take on that responsibility. We currently have team members of all experience levels and many nationalities, as we believe diversity in teams boosts creativity.
The verification backlogs contain verification tasks for new or enhanced telematics/entertainment functions in our products. The tasks contains developing automatic test cases or simulations, improving test methods and tools, performing full system verification, improving test environment. Working with End-2-End verification will give you a good overview of our systems and an understanding of the customer values.

Development tools we use: Jira, CANoe, CANalyzer, Sympathy, Python, Robot test framework
On-Board Telematics (OBT) is a global department within GTT Vehicle Engineering, established to secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for connected services and in-vehicle entertainment functions, within the Volvo Group. The telematics and entertainment components build a global platform utilized by the brands within the Volvo Group. We have a clear product ownership for our products, all through the lifecycle.
OBT is at this moment in some exciting and challenging transformations:
• We are going from purely manual tests to mostly automatic tests
• We go from manual test case based testing to exploratory testing
• We are developing two new product platforms, both HW and SW and are defining and developing the test frameworks for these two new products
• We are introducing SAFe; the next step in the agile way of working, and this will give you a chance to see a modern development process being implemented

Who are you?

You may be fresh from school, or with some or several years' of experience. Relevant experience includes embedded SW verification, experience from verification work in distributed systems, and automotive/telematics/telecom domain knowledge.
Must Have Qualifications
• Master/Bachelor degree in computer science / computer engineering or equivalent education
• Well spoken and written English
• Good knowledge in electronics and IT-systems
• Passion about customer experience testing
What else we look for
It is meritorious if you have knowledge or skills in:
• Agile software development, Scrum and Kanban
• Experience in verification tool chains (e.g CANoe)
• Experience with test tools and framework - i.e. REST API test, stress test, API automation test, web and mobile UI automation test, etc
• C or python programming skills
• Robot framework and Jenkins
