hela Sverige The position Venture Collaboration Manager is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial-minded individual who enjoys working with startups with tangible collaboration projects.
As a Venture Collaboration Manager, you will lead on scouting and collaborating with the best start-ups and partners with an aim to create new innovative values and offerings.
This will require a curious mindset, an understanding of startups, and an ability to work closely with external partners and internal stakeholders. In order to construct clear opinions on opportunities, you will need to engage with industry experts and build a network of collaborators. To be effective, you are going to work closely with some of our startup hubs, such as MobilityXLab and Drive TLV, as well as other professional networks.
The position reports to the Director of Partnerships & Venture Collaboration at the Innovation Lab.
Key Responsibilities
Support the systematic scouting for startups that has the potential of becoming partners or investment opportunities for the Volvo Group
Evaluate and select the best start-ups and partners based on technical, strategical, and financial criteria
Drive validation of start-up and supplier partners through in-market Proof of Value together with customers and Volvo Group stakeholders
Collaborate on research activities related to market dynamics, and startup scouting, identifying key themes within a vertical.
Conduct expert calls and desktop research to construct clear opinions
Engage with startup hubs, internal stakeholders and other professional networks
Your profile
To qualify for this role, you have:
An entrepreneurial mindset with a demonstrated eagerness to create, innovate and drive ideas forward
Excellent analytical and communication skills
A strong interest in early-stage companies, new business models, and new technologies
Interest in working in a fast-paced, multicultural, and diverse environment
Be characterized by humility, integrity, and creativity
Master's degree or equivalent (Business or Engineering)
Fluency in written and spoken English
Humor; because, in the end, working here should be fun
We believe the successful candidate has a creative and curious mindset. You are a social person with strong relationship capabilities and enjoy working with others in flexible team constellations. You have a passion for business, entrepreneurship, digital technologies, and people.
You have a master's degree or equivalent as the basis for your career. You are fluent in English. Both entrepreneurial and international business experiences are a merit. The successful candidate will have shown a winning attitude and great persona in combination with a strong record of accomplishment and references.
