At Research and Development you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. The Department Geometry Development & Integration in the unit Strategy & Vehicle Concepts consists of about 50 permanent employees and additional consultants. Our responsibility is to, within the division Research and Development, lead geometric system integration of complete cars and platforms. The car is divided into seven blocks and there is seven BlockLeaders with the overall responsibility for each block.
As a Vehicle Integration Engineer you will lead the concept development in your area of the car in the later part of the concept phase and further balancing of design solutions into the industrialisation phase.You will balance the geometric requirements and solutions from among others: Attribute Leaders, Styling and Manufacturing to an agreed and well-functioning car.
We are now looking for two positions, one as a Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer and the other is a temporary position for a more junior engineer.
Main responsibilities
• Propose or design own suggestions for design solutions
• Support the BlockLeaders with data for reporting in various decision-making forums
Required qualifications
• B.Sc. degree in engineering or equivalent
• Experience from complete vehicle questions and product development processes
• Proficient in Catia V5
• Driver's license
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of platform/tophat systems is beneficial
• An asset would be experience from Team Center Engineering (Tce) and VisMockup
• Experience as Package Engineer/Vehicle Integration Engineer is meritorious

• Analytical and structured
• Good communication skills and ability and confident to speak in front of larger groups
• Driven and self managed, while being a good team player
• Positive and open minded
