Summary of Duties:
The Trade Program Assistant, under the supervision of the Trade Counsellor, provides daily administrative support and services; provides and creates information and documentation; provides support for on-going trade program activities; responds to service requests from clientele and performs other duties as required. The Trade Program Assistant also supports the regional focus of the trade program by supporting administrative interactions and proactively co-operating with regional offices relating to normal job duties.
Area of selection/Eligibility:
This position is open to individuals who are eligible to work in Sweden, who meet all of the essential requirements stated below, and whose applications are received by the closing date.

Essential Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a major in a discipline related to the job requirements (e.g. economics, administration, communication) or an equivalent* combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Equivalent is defined as a combination of a minimum of three years' post-Secondary experience and/or vocational training
Language:
• Fluency in English (oral and written)
• Fluency in Swedish (oral and written)
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of recent* combined experience in client service delivery and providing administrative services, including managing appointments, providing event and logistical support, record-keeping and information management, budget and/or accounting support.
• Recent is defined as within the last 5 years.
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who have the following asset qualifications:
• Ability to work in French (oral and written)
• Professional certifications related to managing events or projects or related to international business
• Experience working with financial software
If candidates meet the factors listed in the asset qualifications they must also clearly demonstrate how they meet these factors in their covering letter.
Organizational Needs:
Operational Requirements:
• Ability to work overtime outside normal working hours
• Ability to travel in exceptional circumstances
• Ability to work on Swedish holidays when the Embassy is open
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, (7.5 hrs. per day) Monday to Friday
Conditions of Employment:
• Eligible to reside and work in Sweden.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Reliability status (security screening).
