hela Sverige ALTEN is expanding and now looking for an experienced Injection mold tooling engineer. You will be responsible for supporting the development and launch of new products, continuous improvement activities, and maintenance of the existing product assortment. The role will be working with internal/external stakeholders in the areas of design for manufacturing and assembly, injection mold tooling, and product manufacturing. This role will share design and technical knowledge, acting as an advisor to product developers internally as well as externally, review and give input to new tooling designs, and manage the construction and qualification of new and replacement injection mold tools.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise during the product development process on design for Manufacture, Assembly, and Reliability and support the realization of the product design through manufacturing start-up and launch.
• Actively manage the build and qualification of new injection mold tooling from design through production startup.
• Work together with suppliers globally to reinforce design & processing guidelines, maintenance plans, and risk mitigation programs for Essity assets.
Minimum Qualifications:
• BS Degree in Engineering, Plastics, or related technical field.
• 5+ years working with injection molded plastics and tooling in a product development and/or manufacturing environment
• Project management skills or previous experience using a structured stage gate development process.
• Experience working with international teams is a merit.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• The position requires knowledge in:
the design and manufacturing of injection molded plastic parts
the design, fabrication, and processing of injection mold tooling
3D CAD design and simulation packages (Solidworks and/or Moldflow experience is a plus)
the application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and understanding of tolerance stacks
high volume manufacturing processes and assembly techniques
