The Teradata EMEA Program Management Office (PMO) provides support to Teradata customers and field organisations across the EMEA region by improving the performance of project delivery and project management capability.
• Project delivery is improved by strengthening requirements definitions, applying effective governance during project implementation and by performing Strategic Program Management: providing operational support in pre-sales motions, performing project start-up or project recovery services and making available senior Program Managers to strategic accounts.
• Project management capability is improved through support of skill evaluations and recruitment of project managers, active promotion of methodologies, best practices and training programs.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Operational management experience responsible for creating or managing a data warehouse and BI implementation for a client organisation (data warehouse manager or similar function).
• Experience managing data warehouse projects in a competitive environment (project manager for a supplier organisation).
• Experience of implementing projects on Teradata would be an advantage.
• Experience managing complex, technology projects including software development and systems integration with contractual and budgetary responsibility
• Experience in one or more core industries: Communications, Finance, Retail, Manufacturing or Travel & Transportation
• Proven leadership skills; Verifiable people management skills (managing 20 project team members or more)
• Strong, flexible and positive personality, capable of working successfully with staff at all levels within an organization, getting things done through influencing where necessary. A proactive attitude, high personal commitment and motivation and ability to work independently is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral, written communication and presentation skills.
• Proven organization and planning skills
• Excellent analysing and consulting skills.
• Experience at working effectively in highly challenging environments; Quick learner, ability to adapt to new and changing circumstances
• Experience working with clients at all levels, including C-level management
• Experience in big 5 consulting or vendor firms would be a plus
• Evidence of formal project management education is required. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification would be a plus.
• Have the necessary computer skills to publish professionally laid out documents and utilize existing project management and communication tools.
• Experience with a project management methodology.
• Multilingual capabilities on a business level would be a plus.
• Experience of performing project audits and managing project recoveries would be a plus.
• Mentoring and training capabilities are desired.
• Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) is target level of required education.
