We are now recruiting SVPs next Test and Validation Engineer. This position combines both theoretical and practical testing with focus on coordinating and implementation.

About the position:
The position has two main functions. The first part is to coordinate, write and follow-up on test plans for all tests needed for SVP's products and the second part is to set up and implement tools, precedures, templates and test cases. In other word, you will be the one knowing what to test, where and how.
Tests will involve mainly household sewing machines, but also other sewing relevant products. The tests will include embedded software, application software, hardware, mechanical, regulatory testing and end-user tests on the final products.Tests will be performed by own personnel or by 3rd party companies, globally like; Sweden, The Czech Republic, China, Vietnam, India, UK and more, and you will be the supervising and coordinating the test activities. You will also ensure that the RD organization gets the relevant support related to test and validation.
Beside having coordinating responsibility, you must also be able to be a sparring partner for the staff, related to testing and reporting - and if needed also have the skills to support in the testing and validation. Resource planning is a key function is this position, so the right resources with the right skills are available when needed.
Qualifications and requirements:
We are looking for you with several years of experience in testing and/or validation of electronic/mechinical products and writing test plans. Have you also experience in project management it will be considered a big plus, as well as experience in working in a global environment. You holds the ability to overview complex test and validation processes and you can work both theoretical and practical with test cases in order to validate the product needed.
You speak and write english on a professional level and you are a good listener, a good organizer and systematic.
You have a technical academic degree in a relevant field, and practical experience would be considered a strong merit.
